Greetings from your Heavyweight team in the U.S. 2010 has had a great start and it's hard to believe we are already half way through the second quarter.
Heavyweight has a larger sales team than most airlines in the U.S. We move a lot of kilos, serve a huge territory and have some great airline partners that require us to have a strong sales force. We have fully employed sales teams in Los Angeles, Chicago, D.C., Atlanta, New York, Houston, Dallas and more. Live sales teams, no brokers and sub-contractors.
After years of providng charters as a side product for our regular customers, we figured out that Heavyweight Air Express U.S.A. probably performs more special charters as an aside than most brokers do as a dedicated business. For that reason, our HX division will now be operating a standalone full and part charter unit. Leading up this endeavor is Mr Christopher Buscemi who comes to us with plenty of 'street cred', having served as manager for Lufthansa Cargo Charter in the Americas. Chris brings to us the contacts, the knowledge and the moves to make the deals find the aircraft and deliver the results.
